3rd Place Grades 10-12, Santa Fe Catholic High School “Support the Poor” |
Harley S., a seventh grader at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School won Grand Prize in the USCCB’s National Catholic Campaign for Human Development Multi-Media Arts Contest. Harley submitted “The Cross of Poverty” interactive sculpture. She won a prize of $500 and a matching grant to the CCHD-group of her choice. The award will be given at the NCCYM Conference in Orlando, Nov 29 – Dec. 1. Congratulations to Harley!
Third place for grades 10-12 was won by Miss Coco W. who attends Santa Fe Catholic High School in Lakeland. She submitted a painting entitled “Support the Poor.” She received $250 and a matching grant to a CCHD-group of her choice. Congratulations to Coco!
We should be very proud of our student winners. They did an outstanding job of integrating the theme for this year which was “Put Faith in Action! Uproot Poverty Together”. Thank you to all of our student entrants. It is wonderful that you are using your artistic gifts from God to bring attention to a such a pervasive social problem.
